Professional Learning

This one-day workshop, designed for COOs, Directors of Operations, Project Managers, Office Managers, and anyone supporting with school operations, will immerse participants in best practices for creating and implementing standard operating procedures.

High performing schools are almost all operationally excellent. However, leaders are rarely trained on the skills they need to balance enrolling students, running food service and transportation, maintaining facilities, overseeing information technology, and managing so many other Operations Responsibilities. SchoolOps trainings support leaders by building skills like creating a school culture of standard operating procedures, managing time and tasks effectively across teams, and building project plans for major operations workstreams. Participants will leave with tools, templates, and best practices that help them perfect the systems and structures behind an operationally excellent school.

Summer 2026 Programming

June 9 – June 11, 2026 | Monitor the Learning – Instructional Leadership Workshop

This three-day workshop, designed for principals, deans of instruction/curriculum, and instructional coaches, will immerse participants in a coaching model that ensures student learning lives at the forefront of instructional coaching and decision making. Leaders will deep dive into student work analysis and follow up, as well as how to coach learning live during instruction. The final day of programming will guide leaders through the creation of an implementation plan to ensure the session takeaways take root back at schools.

Date: Tuesday, June 9 – Thursday, June 11, 2026
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (with registration and breakfast from 7:30-8:30 a.m. each day)

July 28, 2026 | Foundations of Classroom Management and Engagement with Teach Like a Champion Workshop

The Florida Charter Institute is excited to welcome back Doug Lemov and the Teach Like a Champion team for professional learning in summer 2026. Teach Like a Champion will offer two sessions across three workshop days running from Tuesday, July 28-Thursday, July 30. Participants can attend one or both sessions.

The first training is “Foundations of Classroom Management and Engagement” takes place on Tuesday, July 28. This practice-intensive workshop will focus on high-impact behavioral and engagement techniques that enable joy and academic achievement.
