FL Salary Increase Allocation Calculator 2024-25

Since 2020, Florida has included the “Teacher Salary Increase Allocation” in the Florida Educational Finance Program. Originally, the state allocated $500-million to raise teacher salaries to a target of $47,500. In 2024-25, the state allocated a little over $1.2-billion for this purpose, but instead of including it as a separate categorical within the FEFP, it is now part of the base salary. Schools must allocate 5.59% of base FEFP for maintenance of previous salary increases and 1.07% of base FEFP for salary growth.

Summer 2025 Information

On Friday, July 25, 2025 the FLDOE released information regarding the Final Expenditure Reports for Salary Increase Allocations for the 2024-25 school year, which districts are required to submit to the DOE by Friday, August 1. Here are the files released by the DOE:

The final report is in exactly the same format as it was for 2023-24, this means that tool created (and linked below) by the FCI last fall will give you exactly the numbers you need to complete this report.

We will host a webinar on Monday, July 28 at 12:30pm on how to use the tool to complete your final report. Please register for the webinar at:

Fall 2024 Information

The requirements associated with the funds in 2024-25 are the same as they were last year. This means that schools can elect to use the growth portion to raise the base salary for classroom teachers and/or provide salary increases to other full-time instructional personnel as defined by s. 1012.01(2)(a)-(d).

Districts are required to submit a plan by October 1, and are required to submit a final report of expenditures by August 1, 2025. It is anticipated that each district will likely set a deadline before then to receive this information from the charter schools they oversee.

At the end of August, the Department of Education released the following memos regarding the initial plans which were due in October:

To help charter schools develop their plan for this school year, we’ve released the attached calculator schools can use to calculate the raises to be distributed this year. We are releasing the calculator as an Excel workbook and a Google Sheet. The sheet was created in Google, and we would encourage you to use that version, but doing so requires you to have a Google Account to be able to use this sheet.

Download the Tool

The sheet includes instructions on how to use the calculator on the “Directions” tab. Please review that tab and then follow the directions as appropriate. Each district must include charter school plans with their overall plans, the plans are due to the state by October 1, 2024.
