Florida Statute authorizes eligible Florida Colleges to serve as charter school sponsors within their designated service areas. In October 2023, the Florida Department of Education approved Miami Dade College (MDC) to serve as a charter school authorizer.

Application Process
Miami Dade College accepts charter school applications exclusively in response to a published Request for Proposals (RFP). When the College is open to receiving applications, the RFP will be posted on this website.
