The Great Florida Teach-In (GFTI) is an annual job fair organized by the Florida Department of
Education’s Bureau of Educator Recruitment, Development and Retention. It provides a great
opportunity for educator candidates seeking employment in Florida to obtain interviews with
Florida school district and Florida charter school personnel responsible for hiring teachers.
The 2025 Great Florida Teach-In will be held at the Hilton Orlando in Orlando, Florida, on
Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Please use the following link
to register for the event: 2025 Great Florida Teach-In. Registration will close on Monday, March
24, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. During the registration process, we will ask you to identify
anticipated vacancies so we can support your recruitment efforts. Providing the most complete
answers to our survey questions will ensure that we provide the best possible experience for you
and the candidates attending.
Each registered district and charter school will be provided with one exhibit booth in the exhibit
ballroom to recruit candidates. In addition to the exhibit booth, each registered entity will have
the opportunity to utilize interview space. While conducting interviews is not mandatory during
the GFTI, this is an excellent opportunity to interview prospective candidates and provide job
offers to fill current and anticipated vacancies.
