This presentation will cover grief theories, common expressions of grief, and ways to support children and adults who are experiencing grief after the loss of a loved one. This presentation is relevant for anyone who is on contact with children and families — teachers, school counselors, social workers, and administrators. Attendees will learn the grief is expressed differently according to developmental stages. After attending the presentation, attendees will understand different ways to support grievers in a culturally and developmentally sensitive manner. They will also learn about the Children’s Bereavement Center’s services and resource and how to refer to CBC’s free grief support groups offered online to anyone who has experienced a loss of a loved one.
