The Florida Charter Institute is proud to partner with the Florida Department of Education to host a McKinney-Vento Overview session.

The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act is a federal law that ensures students experiencing homelessness have immediate access to school, stability, and essential services, including transportation and free meals.

This session will provide an overview of McKinney-Vento requirements, Florida’s state goals, Rule 6A-10.088, F.A.C., and key laws, with a focus on how schools can effectively support students experiencing housing instability.
