The Teacher Accelerator Program (TAP) and Miami Dade College School of Education are partnering to present a joint session designed for principals, aspiring teachers, substitutes, and current educators seeking certification. TAP will highlight its role as a nonprofit organization dedicated to recruiting, preparing, and supporting the next generation of educators through mentorship, professional development, and community-based initiatives. The presentation will also include an overview of TAP’s benefits—such as paid summer training program, wellness programming, and career support—that help teacher candidates successfully transition into the classroom and thrive in their first years of teaching. MDC will share the diverse certification pathways and resources available through its School of Education to support individuals at every stage of their teaching journey. Together, TAP and MDC will showcase how collaboration between higher education and workforce initiatives is addressing the teacher shortage across South Florida. This session offers practical insights, resources, and connections to help aspiring educators advance their careers and attain certification. Additionally, this session provides schools principals the opportunity to learn more about programs that can address their staffing needs.
