June 2026 FCI Connect | Building Your Team for the Year Ahead

Welcome to FCI Connect

From the desk of our Executive Director

Preparation shapes performance. Summer is a critical planning season for school leaders, a time to strengthen operations, redefine priorities, and assemble the team that will influence school culture, instructional quality, and organizational performance. Every refinement contributes to a stronger organization, and every hiring decision makes a difference in the experience of students, families, and staff.

Professional learning should remain part of that preparation. Later next month, the Florida Charter Institute is honored to welcome Doug Lemov, author of Teach Like a Champion, to Miami for three days of learning focused on instructional excellence. His work has shaped classrooms across the country, and this event offers practical strategies that leaders can bring directly into their schools.

At the Florida Charter Institute, we remain committed to equipping Florida’s charter schools with the knowledge, resources, and support needed to meet both today’s priorities and tomorrow’s opportunities. Our team is here to answer questions, provide guidance, and partner with you as you continue strengthening your school.

Thank you for your leadership and your commitment to Florida’s students. I wish you a productive summer and look forward to supporting your continued success in the months ahead.

Warm Regards,

Susie

The work of preparing for a successful school year begins long before students arrive on campus. Staffing decisions made during these months extend beyond filling vacancies. Every new hire contributes fresh expertise, strengthens collaboration, and reinforces the mission that guides a school’s work. For educators and professionals considering their next career move, the same season offers a chance to discover new roles within Florida’s charter school sector.

The Florida Charter Institute created FLCharterJobs.org to bring schools and job seekers together through a single, charter-focused hiring platform. Employers can advertise open positions, review applications, search candidate resumes, and oversee recruitment from one location. Educators, school leaders, and support professionals can explore available positions, create a profile, upload resumes, and submit applications directly through the site.

Registration takes only a few minutes. After creating an employer account and completing a public profile, schools may publish openings and decide whether applications are received through FLCharterJobs.org or an existing applicant tracking system.

The employer dashboard includes tools to:

  • Publish and manage job postings.
  • Review and organize applicants.
  • Download resumes.
  • Communicate directly with candidates.
  • Record internal notes throughout the hiring process.
  • Search uploaded resumes to identify prospective employees.

Candidates also benefit from a streamlined experience. Resume uploads automatically populate much of a user’s profile, making it easier to build a searchable presence for employers. Multiple resumes may also be maintained to reflect different career interests or areas of expertise.

FLCharterJobs.org serves as a dedicated hiring resource for Florida’s charter school community, connecting schools with qualified professionals and helping educators discover new career opportunities. For a complete overview of the platform, including step-by-step guidance for employers and job seekers, visit the Florida Charter Institute’s FLCharterJobs.org resource page.
